haha, I wish I had read this post subsequently. Either way, it only took 5 minutes, even with dropping the glovebox held on one side. Easy, thanks. PS, my filter looked a bit worse than the one above with the debris on it after 1 1/2 years.

Re: Brakes pads needed soon

No idea on the OE. I always replace brake pads on my sport bikes with EBC HH pads from my racing days, as I like the stopping power, so I figured to stick with the Ake's and I have no complaints other than a shorter life, which I can live with.

Re: FYI: OEM air filter information

I think I may end up going with the reusable/cleanable K&N, like I've put on all my motorcycles and some cars, for the past 20 years.

Re: What tires are best?

Sounds like you made a great tire choice. My 13 has close to 30K on it, and they are a bit worn. I have to say that they worked pretty well all along though, and I tend to drive rather aggressively.

Re: Suzuki examining cvt alternatives

I don't get all the anti-cvt sentiment. If your car only has the cvt and no paddle shifters, then I understand. My SLS with the paddles works great! You should try a manual. More power, better mileage, lighter, more reliable, better control over the car. I've driven manual transmission cars all my ...

My SLS with the paddles works great!

Most all Nissan cars have a CVT, and they are among the top 3 car companies.

Re: Brakes pads needed soon

I was changing my oil/filter today and noticed my brake fluid in the rez was super low. I have 28K miles on my 13 SLS. I ordered the Ceramic Akebono's from TireRack.com just now. I tend to brake hard, and did a lot of stop and go last year from my former job (hence the miles), but now thankfully liv...

He probably has a compost garden for a cabin air filter.

Re: lease end buy out

I was under the impression that Residual value is a fixed value, and is the same at the beginning and end of a lease, therefore is not negotiable as the car is owned by the bank, not the dealer.
