Re: Sold my Kiz and thinking of buying another. Good idea or ?

What did you replace your original Kizashi with? What I'm basically getting at is do you need another car and what is your budget? While the 2010 SLS appears enticing, these cars are now at an age where one has to be very careful, especially with a CVT. Old Tech also states that some 2010 models hav...

Re: making a custom hood

Honestly the odds of it happening at this point is pretty low, im unable to delete posts but if a moderator wants to take this thread down that would be fine. If i get another and more promising lead next time ill simply make a new post We generally don't delete threads here, especially if they rel...

Re: How to change manual transmission fluid

At 130,000 miles now, I changed the manual trans fluid last weekend. I used MT-90, largely because I had about half a quart left over so I only had to purchase two new quarts. I also forgot the last time I changed it but this thread serves like a journal. Shifting is improved with the new fluid but ...

Good to know. Mine is also rather grimy and despite cleaning the area, that part always gets oily so the leaking O ring explains it. I'll take your suggestion about the silicone sealer. Thanks!

Re: My first Suzuki

Congrats and enjoy the process of make it look better. I love this bright interior. I wonder what percentage of Kizashi had it and in what model was that interior used more often. The color of the interior was dependent on the color of the exterior. I believe the blue and white Kizashis got the tan...

Kizashi Kamping

A few weeks ago, I drove the Kizashi out to go camping at the Red Rock Canyon State Park in California. The campsite is easily accessible via a maintained dirt road so I knew the Kizashi could make it there. With the Thule roof box, the Kizashi hauled all the gear we needed for the camping trip with...

Re: Kizashi roof rack and tower

Can anyone vouch for that Amazon link/know the correct size? Post says to get the exact size for them to fit correctly. Link opens with S1 selected but I didn't want to assume that was it. Thanks It's hard to verify which size you need. Mine is the Suzuki accessory, not the Yakima aftermarket so I ...

Re: My first Suzuki

Welcome!
As the others stated, the transmission is the weakest point of a used Kizashi with an automatic transmission. Definitely check to see that it's in good order before you spend the time and money on a paint job.

Re: Direct Injection

Great conversation that made me think more in depth about EV's and ICE vehicles. I have owned three Kizashi's with proper maintenance including CVT oil replacement. Very satisfied with reliability and service. Besides being very conscious about the impact to the environment due to the production an...

Re: Over heating

Perhaps you did replace it but you didn't mention the radiator cap. Did you replace it with a proper quality replacement, ideally the Suzuki OE part or a Denso/Toyota OE cap?
When I overheated, it was due to a failed radiator cap.
