Re: coolant reservoir

A new cap (and seal) which now fits with a solid click has cured he problem. Well, it would be nice to actually GET a new cap. When I discovered the missing cap a month or so ago I ordered one from my semi local Kizashi ex dealer. As of this writing I am still using a pill bottle cap as no word from...

Re: coolant reservoir

Just got back from my trip to SF and back up the coast. The pill bottle cap worked just fine. Don't think I will replace it...

On another note, in Fort Bragg Ca. (of all places) saw a Silver Kizashi. Honked and waved at the young lady, who was as surprised to see my Kizashi as I was to see hers...

Re: coolant reservoir

Yes, dug out the flashlight and looked all over. It is possible that when the car was serviced a couple of months ago they didn't replace it. Too late to ask about that with the dealer... I have just gotten so lazy with this car, I seldom open the hood. I know, shame on me, I really have no excuses ...

coolant reservoir

Going on a trip day after tomorrow, so decided to do a quick check of tires, oil, etc. Lifting the hood I noticed that the cap for the coolant reservoir was gone. Who knows when... So...I found (don't laugh) a pill bottle cap that snaps in just fine. I am not sure if I will have time to get to a dea...

Re: Paint.

to tell you something about the 3M film, I think their warranty is 5 years. I put it on my Tacoma 9 years ago, and it still hasn't yellowed or come undone. Oh, and no paint chips (which my truck was noted for).

Re: 114 days

I wonder about radar detectors being a good investment. Maybe in some states, but if you live in California your radar detector will just alert you that you are the lucky holder of a brand new ticket! You see Calif. has this thing called instant on radar. About the only way you could possibly surviv...

Nine cars with underserved bad reputations

Found this article in the Car Connection: http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIwkfLA2RE (hope link works) I have some experience as I have owned FOUR of them (I guess I am a loser)... Corvair - I owned a 65 & 66, poor mans Porsche in its day. NO oil leaks. Porsche 914. Coming from a a 911 Targa I wa...

Re: 30K service

sorry for these basic questions, but I have been lazy with maintenance as in I take it to the dealer (and to borrow a phrase) tell them 'to make it so'.

So, if I go with the Purolator is it: PL14477?
