Re: Valve train at 127k

Thanks. There was nothing but a film of oil on the underside of the valve cover as well. Oil changes were at no more than about 5K miles. Started off using name brand synthetic oils but switched to Super Tech synthetic several years ago. Oil filters have been Bosch (preferred), K&N (although I n...

Re: Hello - new Kizashi owner

Try this. It's been around for awhile and whoever did it had no sense of order. But it's pretty much all we got. This is from my Google Drive so copy it off as it may not be available forever. You could also probably find the transmission service manual on the web too. I found it awhile back but rea...

Re: CVT Fluid Level Check Question

I thought the reason for running through the gears was to make sure that torque converter was full when checking. That's why you run through the gears which lowers the level by the amount in the converter and then you have to wipe the dipstick and check it again. What makes no sense is the the level...

It's also possible that the card reader in the Garmin won't recognize 8GB. Have you tried a lower capacity like 4GB? Maybe try a real old one if you have it?

Re: The End of My Kizashi

Man, that sucks. I'm glad everyone was OK and that you got what it was worth. Your persistence paid off big time. Add the COVID relief from both you and your wife (and maybe kid) and you should be able to get a decent replacement. The agent you talked to last was probably new and wasn't told that pa...

Hit a deer and it wasn't totaled? With the thin metal on these things it must have been a fawn! Hope it's OK and you are too!
