Re: How many NZ/Aus owners with cvt problems

Arrived back from my weekend trip from Sydney to Inverloch Victoria and return. A bit over 2000 klms. 12 hours each way with stops. Drove down via Hume highway through Melbourne and returned via Bairnsdale and Monaro Hwy. The weather on the way down on Friday was challenging with cold, rain and hail...

Re: New TSB (extended crank/ hard start)

Not that I could have ever had that happen - Suzuki dealers say the problem doesn't exist in Australia!
I don't think Suzuki Aus people drive Suzukis very often. I've had it happen a few times. :drive:

Re: Whinning Noise - CVT?

I've come to realize that many outside of North America may not get the video as it was actually a parody of a famous commercial/advertisement supporting the adoption of shelter animals. Here's the famous video it's spoofing. This makes the "Give a Shift" manual transmission video more am...

Re: Whinning Noise - CVT?

 Good video. I'd like to drive a manual(stick shift) again but unfortunately my wife needs an auto so it's not practical for me. Audi with some of it's vehicles, Suzuki with the Swift Sport and even Subaru with the WRX using cvt's, why would you put a cvt in a sports vehicle it just doesn't mak...

Re: Whinning Noise - CVT?

Even though I've got used to the cvt and sometimes even find it enjoyable i really think it is the Kizashi's weakest point. I would love to drive the Kizashi with a good traditional 6 speed auto as it may make the difference between a good car and and great car. On top of that there's the reliabilit...

Re: Unrelated Question

Actually overall for 2014 the Mazda 3 is still slightly ahead of the Corolla apparantly. I think I read the other day around 5000 Kizashi's have been sold in Australia but can't be sure on that. I was just reading that in Australia 50% of Suzuki sales come from the Swift and for June the Swift was t...

Re: Whinning Noise - CVT?

Take it straight to your dealer and do not back off until they fix it to your satisfaction.

Re: Unrelated Question

I wonder if sales of gun racks have gone up as well? Based on the number of shootings in Sydney in recent years maybe yes although you don't need a gun rack for handguns. :o My sister sold her Aurion for a Mazda BT50 a few years back to tow her horse and a van so there you go. I'm surprised the Maz...

Re: 3000 mile road trip!

Sounds like it went well. I'm the opposite in that I mostly do long trips in my Kizashi. Next Friday I'll be going on a 2000klm(1242 mile) round trip from Sydney Aus to a town called Inverloch which faces the Bass Straight and the Antarctic. I find the Kizashi to be good comfortable touring car.
