In shopping for replacement wheels, what is a good width/offset for a 17" size?
Does a higher offset bring the wheels further IN or OUT?
(I'd prefer further out than in of course)
Wheel offset question!

I replaced the stock 18" with 18" helo's on my 2010 Suzuki Kizashi GTS. I kept the stock offset of 42. The higher the offset, the further IN the wheel will be. Lower and negative offsets are what will give you the "popped out" wheels. I am pretty sure that optimum offset for 2010 Kizashi (and probably 2011 too) is 42-48, but you can vary it if you like (I prefer to stick as close to stock as possible). If your offset is too high, you risk rubbing on the inside of the wheel well. If you offset is too low, you will rub on the fender. Of course changing your tire size can remedy some of this, but if you are going down to 17", it will give you more room to work with. Do remember this... varying your offset too far from stock is said to put some extra strain on your suspension, bearing, etc.
