Display unit that shows range milage etc. Not working as it's upper part shows nothing on screen , please guide

I havent seen any common failures with this display. There is the button on the steering wheel to select this feature off . Try that , then check all fuses under hood and above drivers knee. If nothing found, try used combination meter.
