Kizashi Club

2010 Kizashi running fine then the service engine light came on and AutoZone read this code. It states Catalyst fuel trim system too lean. They said it's a "confirmed code" meaning the problem has been there for some time but is just now giving the warning. Has anyone had this and what was the resolution?

If there is no exhaust leaks in the manifold or down pipe, then most likely it is the down stream O2 sensor is faulty. Its job is to put it simply , how good of a job the converter is doing. The engine computer knocks out the cruise control anytime the check engine light is on just to annoy you. A good quality sensor is recommended like Denso. With high miles , there is a possibility that a weak cat code to then be reported. P0420 If that were to happen, I do list a cheap fix for that in past posts.
