My girlfriend weighs around 125 and no matter what position she's in the airbag systems reads "off". My father is pushin 280, no matter what angle he sits in he's smack in the middle and it reads "off"

I picked up the car from the dealer and they could not reproduce....I get in the car and ask the service advisor to get in and BAM, "airbag off"

I'm chalking it up to either a lazy dealership or growing pains of a brand new model.
Then I apologize, you have my sympathy. At least you could get it to reproduce on the spot, I'm still trying to convince my dealer to replace my amp... they want me to reproduce it. I told them, "I'll be happy to swing by and let one of your techs drive around with me ALL DAY, since it only happens about 20% of the time". I'm calling the owner this week and putting the screws to him until he just orders a new amp.

I did call Suzuki. I got a case # and everything. The girl said that there was "no reported issues with the amp" and suggested I take it to the dealer service center. I will call them again and see if they recognize the issue now (3 months later).

(My logon is different as I had to re-register for some reason) If everyone would have read my post a little more clearly, you would have noted that we bought the Kizashi because we LOVED the car. After the incident I had, which was described truthfully, Suzuki completely turned their backs on us. That is why I posted here...If for nothing else, a warning to owners of the Kizashi. Since it is a first year model, yes, there may be some manufacturer defects. I was in the car, I know what happened , and every airbag deployed, except for the passenger seat. Why would I need to "make up" a story...I"m a grown woman and I know how the incident unfolded. Even the cops (who we called to document, even though there was not another car involved) said they could not believe the airbags deployed..They commented they NEVER saw all the bags go off for a minor front end collision. I cannot take pictures since the car has been taken to State Farms' storage site in order to perform the evaluation. They intend to subrogate against Suzuki. What is important to note here, we would have definitely replaced the car with another Kizashi, in a heartbeat, if Suzuki had even said well we should investigate, maybe there was something wrong, maybe there is a glitch in this new model, etc. All they said was, too bad; you had an accident; let your insurance take care of it.
Again, no offense Rabby, but the story doesn't add up. Your foot slipping off the brake is NOT going to have you at 5-10mph unless it slipped off and hit the gas and/or you were going downhill for quite a long time. Of course this assumes you were able to look down and check your speed as you were trying to stop the car???

All that aside, the claim that the airbag system is faulty still doesn't make sense. Airbag deployment is NOT dependent simply on speed. The real key is DEceleration force. You can drive over a curb and have something under the body of the car hit the curb.........NEVER hit anything on the body of the car.......and have airbags deploy simply because of rate of deceleration. You have a combination of sensors working together to determine when the airbags deploy.......accelerometers, impact sensors, wheel speed sensors, brake pressure sensors, gyroscopes, etc.... If the cops that did your report said they have never seen anything like that, they probably haven't been doing their job very long......or didn't want to make you feel bad.
