Had the driver's side headlight burn out again this morning. I already carry the traditional halogen bulb replacements. I will seriously consider buying the LED or HID or whatever you call the ones that don't burn out every 6 months on this car.

Did a full 7-hr detail this weekend. Sore back but worth it in the end!

Looks sweet. I don't see any rock chips on the front. The front of mine looks like I tailgated a big rig through a 1000 mile rally race. But it's silver in color. Also I'd get pulled over in a day or two without a front license plate. Nice ride man 8-)

Oh I have tons of rock chips but I've used Dr Colorchip which does an excellent job at hiding them. I highly recommend it!

My poor old Kizashi is beyond paint chip repair. There are pictures in my hit and run post of what the rear bumper looks like (haven't found a replacement yet). The top has hail damage. The passenger side has two dents from my awesome coworkers. However the driver's side still looks brand new

Changed my cabin air filter. This one was roughly a year old. Not near as bad as the last one which was about 6 years old.

Changed the oil for the 18th time. Also changed both transmission filters and completely flushed the fluid.

Got new tires! Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06. Ultra high performance all seasons with 50k warranty rating. Purchased and installed through Discount Tires for about $650 with a $70 rebate. I also got a $180 pro-rated refund off my old tires for wearing out prematurely. The old were Hankook VENTUS S1 NOBLE2. I got about 41k miles out of them, wearing them down past the wear bar, but they performed well all the way until the end, not like the original Dunlops that deteriorated with time and got even less miles out of them. The Contis so far are not as sporty in hard cornering as the Hankooks ( I probably shouldn't be driving like this on the streets anyway!) But they are less likely to grab ruts and aren't as twitchy on the straight of ways, not that the Hankooks were bad, just different, sportier. Reviews state the Contis should perform better in the Northwest Winters ( a lot of rain and occasional snow/ice). So overall, I miss the some of the feel and confidence of the Hankooks when playing around on the corners, but for my everyday driving needs, these new tires should do nicely, especially when winter hits.

A rock chip turned into a big windshield crack on the way to the train station this morning. There is so much construction going on here, and therefore rocks and wood and nail in the roads, I don't even want to get it replaced because I'll just get a new rock chip within a few months.
