Anyone else's A/C feel weak?
When I have my ac on LO it is cool but is no where near my ford ranger which can freeze me out lol. Just seeing if anyone else notices the same thing....it's a tad colder than my 12 year old Honda I got rid of.

I purchased my kiz 2 months ago, manufacture date of 9/11. Don't think it's broke, it's just a 'feature'. I like to be freezed out, it's cold enough but not freezer cold.Senegal wrote:mine is pretty cold, i can't remember the number of times that I actually kept mine in "LO". Manual says to run AC at least once a month even in the winter, maybe yours needs the service.

This is from my experience back in July last year when I bought my 2011 car.
2nd week of buying it, I took it back to the dealer to get the A/C checked as it was not cooling th car the way I wanted, i had 2010 Kizzy before that and it used to freeze me at 65 but putting 2011 at LO didn't do much. The service dept ofcourse kept the car for the day and came back saying nothing is wrong.
However, when i changed my engine oil to Synthetic after 2500 mile service, I saw a significant change in A/C, I then had an A/C that was cooling the cabin down by just setting it at 65.
Though it felt like a outrageous hypothesis, changing the oil to Synthetic definitely made my A/C better, I attributed it to better heat dissapation of synthetic oil. Though I got a laugh from the service manager for the theory, hey, it did it for me.

Would there be any benefit to having a/c that isn't able to freeze u? More longevity? Less fuel consumption(really doubt that one)

Less carbon footprint? Oh you mean to the car's benefit. None that I can think of.eatrocks wrote:Would there be any benefit to having a/c that isn't able to freeze u? More longevity? Less fuel consumption(really doubt that one)
