After reading that article you linked, I maintain that it is you quoting nonsense. The "evidence" used would be laughed out of any high school statistics class. Is it possible that AWD vehicles are mostly bought by crybaby sissies who are less likely to venture into dangerous situations? I exaggerate a bit , but that's certainly a factor that should be taken into account before jumping to any conclusions as this article does.

Are you claiming that the huge land barges with V8's and shitty tires that we drove back in the 60's weren't an order of magnitude harder to drive in the snow?
