Anything related to the Kizashi can go here, but please look at the other headings first. Your topic may fit better under something else.

i found a second 2010 kizashi with a cracked engine block. This one has 174,000 miles on it and its cracked on the front side of the block at the bottom of the headbolt reach. This customer had bought it brand new from dealer here in Erie pa that is still a Suzuki parts and service today. I towed it up to them.

So you're saying if we are patient we may all get free engines eventually?

Two out of how many 2010s that you see? I guess that's not horrible.

If I were to guess how many 2010s I’ve seen it would probably be 150. Both of these engine blocks that cracked waited until after 170,000 miles. The second one the customer lives right around the corner from me and had bought it brand new I had rebuilt the transmission about three years ago I think anyway her nephew changed the water pump after noticing a coolant leak from somewhere and guessed it was the water pump. He put a Gates water pump on it and it leaked right out of the water pump weep hole right away. I sold him an Aisin water pump but he still had a leak. I found the leak to be a cracked engine block across the front and towed it to the dealer. Since then the story took an awful turn. Suzuki rejected that one and I think the dealer messed up the claim basically it’s back at my shop and I’m fighting with Suzuki and the dealer now.

Nothing. Mine is sitting in the garage on a jack stands until I get the upper support/shock mount replaced. Truck is in shop, so I've been driving a 2021 Chevy malibu rental. I prefer my Kizashi over the 2021 Chevy malibu!!!! Reminds me why I bought the Kiz back in 2011. It fits me like a glove.

This is not at all surprising. Suzuki's tenure (responsibilities) here is coming to a close very soon next year, a decade after they pulled out of N. America. Let's face it, they have less than zero incentive to do anything, or spend any money, for our 'market'. Having a warranty and being able to use it are two very different things.

I've felt this way about all of the Suzukis I've owned in my lifetime. Damn shame...haven't felt that way about any other vehicles I've owned and why I'd kept going back to Suzuki.

An up date on the 2nd 2010 cracked block. I dont think any more of these cracked blocks will be covered. This one should have been a slam dunk but was wrongly deemed a head gasket by Suzuki technical case closed. Even with many pictures of coolant leaking from crack and crack being exactly as pictured in 2019 revised service bulletin . This customer (original owner) noticed leak and parked it, never over heated. Some people really get the short end of the stick. She lost her husband just before this happened and car has been laid up nearly 3 mo waiting on Suzuki"s decision.

Sounds like Suzuki is washing their hands clean of their warranty obligations now as it's been about 10 years since their exodus from the US market. I think we Suzuki owners face the reality that we are really on our own now. While some are lucky to have specialists like you near them, for others, a major issue will spell the end of their Suzuki for them. I think for this reason, many rational people are moving on from buying into the brand even if they love Suzuki given parts, service, and warranty are largely bygones now.
