It appears to have been locked by accident by another mod. I unlocked it.

General Altimax Arctic
Had a set (kid's Civic is running a studded set). Decent, but wore fast. Not as good as modern-design studless choices, IME.
But an excellent value choice....
Car sucking fuel on these frigid slippery days.

Interesting feedback. When I checked every tire back 5 years ago in this size, these were the tire. Of course, the design was definitely of European origin, so I don't doubt that other manufacturers have done the same now.
I'll have to check our mileage and see if it's any different in the winter. I don't think I ever noticed a difference before.

Due to the recent "cold snap" I've decided to ignore current gas mileage reports. Lots of idling time.
The Michelins are superb, except in slush. Of course, nothing is good in slush except a really long wheelbase.
I can carry stupid speeds in curves, and during this extreme cold they seem to be running on dry pavement.
I can still easily over-drive them, so must practice caution whilst romping.
Will have them rotated/balanced this week (now that it's warm enough to pressure-wash the snow and dirt off the wheels).
Oil change tomorrow.

1/10/18 tires balanced / rotated 128,000 miles
Quick while it's still warm enough......

So the tires went on really round, but the TPMS light came on.
Fortunately, I had a handy business card to obscure the blinky light.
Then, today, it extinguished itself when I drove out for lunch. Yay.
43 PSI front, 41 rear.......
Man these Michelins stick.

Before we get all excited for you, that's 26.4 Miles/US gallon. Quite a small sample size though, you'll get better numbers after a couple of complete tanks.
