At least with the Impreza Sport you can get a 6MT and AWD together.

Edit: wow the manual is still a 5 speed? Why?!

Yeah, that's totaled w/ the mileage you have. They'd likely find more broken over-priced plastic and other hidden damage should they open it up to repair.

If that's the case, I really look forward to reading about your quest to find a suitable (to you) replacement.

Hmm, not sure about it being totaled. Did the airbags go off? From the pics, I see a bumper, headlamp, fender and door skin. The hood looks good. I'm sure insurance will go the LKQ (used part) route. Personally I'd source used parts trying to find the same color and repair it myself vs. going through insurance.

Using car-part.com I see a light blue A grade fender for $150, a grey A grade door for $325 and a headlight for $250. However I can't find a bumper cover.

Hood (can't see it in the pics), bumper cover, headlamp assembly, fender, fender liner, driver front door (skin won't fix that  ), rear door skin, rocker panel.....so far.

My insurance doesn't do used parts.

Figure MAX ACV $2,500, realistic ACV $1,500--1,800/
Figure parts so far $3,200.
Figure totaled.

I get a giggle looking at the fur stuck in the wheel.

In that case, I'd have them total it, but buy it back from them. Then frankenstein the parts from other cars for cheap and drive it another 30-50K on liability. Same some coin and have a reliable car. When it comes time, donate it away or drive it to the scrap yard for scrap value.

The way you drive em, climate and sinking value of the Kizashi, makes sense.

FYI, finding large body parts on Used-Car parts.com is one thing. Getting them shipped to you is a whole other animal. You'll need to find them close to home. The salvagers generally don't have the means to package and ship large items (doors, bumper covers, hoods) in such a fashion as to not have them damaged. Then you have to add the crazy freight charges on top of it.

That’s why I selected NE only parts :)
