Ok! I didnt look for the sensor yet but I have
learned a trick that works for some Suzuki’s.

Turn on your electronics, (start button twice
without a foot on a pedal (engine off))
- 5 times citylight on and off quickly
- 5 times daglight on and off quickly
Then you hear a peep and than the lights are not always on!

Tomorrow I am going to install the other switch with auto function to check if that now works.

Ok, just put the new switch with ‘auto’ function in
and it worked! So that means that the sensor is there just as I expected!

Great! Just great! Thanks for the replies!

Does anyone know if the headlight sensor on 2010 Suzuki kizashi GTS center of dash is wired or a dummy if car doesn't have automatic headlight feature?

it is not a headlight sensor. It's a sunlight sensor part of the HVAC of car.
