Anyone have their Kizashi CVT repaired in the south Florida area? Daughters Kizashi stopped and will no longer move. When shifting out of park to drive it just revs when applying gas. Also cannot push vehicle in neutral without disconnecting the battery. It seems like it is stuck in park even though indicator is moving to drive neutral and reverse. Battery disconnected and it can be pushed in neutral.

At my shop here in Pennsylvania I overhaul these for $1900 start to finish with a year warranty . Too far away from you I’m sure but I could sell you a transmission that I’ve gone through for $850 before shipping. It would have the much needed upgraded primary . No core for the Fwd . The Awd has a core charge of $200. If you are going with a trans shop down there, make sure they are familiar with the JF011E .

I would also suggest considering a reputable Nissan specialist mechanic shop if there is one; Nissans use(d) a similar JATCO CVT, so it can be assumed that a Nissan specialist should have worked on the JF011E’s cousins before, since Nissans are also known for early CVT failure. From what I’ve read, Nissan had the similar information spoon-feeding of “you don’t need to ever change the transmission fluid” from corporate that Suzuki did with the Kizashi. Speaking of transmission fluid, was yours ever changed, to your knowledge?

I hope everything turns out well. This was my big fear for my CVT Kizashi.

2012 Kizashi FWD. Think it is real close to 170,000 miles.

You were well above average for miles. If you are repairing, i would suggest viewing "cheap fix 09 belt tensioner " It can save you a break down.
