I just got a base Kizashi S with manual transmission. Thought it would be no problem adding cruise control but I can't find a aftermarket kit. Anybody add cruise to their Kizashi?.

I am having the same exact problem...and it would be nice for those short Louisiana to California drives. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked with a dealership? Since it changes the steering wheel a bit and not just an added steering wheel "stick" it might be a little more complicated. I had the Dealership add Cruise to my Jeep Wrangler but it wasnt part of the steering wheel.

I've added cruise controls to three of my past cars each within a couple of hours, so I figured it would be no big deal, but this Kizashi is the first "drive-by-wire" car I have run into. I've searched and it seems that the only companies making cruise control kits for "drive-by-wire" cars are Australian, Rostra & Autron. Both of these companies have not as of yet designed anything for the Kizashi. I talked to a Rostra engineer and he said that they are currently developing a kit for the 2010 Suzuki SX4 that will work for the Kizashi. But from what I can find on the web the SX4 and the Kizashi do share the same engine but Suzuki has made significant changes to the engine for the Kizashi. This makes me nervous using a SX4 kit. Another Australian company "Maroouchy Car Sound" did install a AP900 cruise control in a Kizashi. The only place I can find the AP900 cruise control is on Alibaba but the minimum order is 20. What am I going to do with 20 cruise controls? Meanwhile my gas foot is getting sore. What happened to American ingenuity?

Yes, Metatrox I talked to the dealer and they just shrugged their shoulders. I asked the parts guy if I could order the cruise control parts separately and no dice. In my last car I installed the cruise control switch on the center console and that's better than on the steering wheel. With my arm on the armrest I just tap the control with my finger, sweet.

Wow, that's just ridiculous! With the throttle by wire, it should be too easy for cruise control not to be standard equipment. While looking at the patent for the SprintBooster, I noticed that there was an additional claim whereby the vehicle's speed could also be controlled with this device by sensing engine RPM and controlling the throttle signal. That would probably work with the MT.

Have you already order this product?..i feel there is difficulty in acquiring such cruise control kits whenever i want to add that system for a steady speed.

Has anyone found anything that works on this yet?

Having "fly by wire" is a definite advantage from my past experiences- I added a new steering wheel (from the top spec model) with cruise buttons and a brake pedal switch on my old Mazda 6 and I had working cruise control. (It had an auto trans.) I also gained steering wheel mounted audio controls the same way. All the wiring was in place.

I'd be most surprised if the Kizashi wasn't similar. You might need to add a brake and clutch pedal switch too- as well as the obvious cruise control panel.

There is a seller on Ebay offering a Cruise Control kit for Kizashi. This is the first I have found. It is quite expensive so I'm trying to figure out if I can get a kit for another car from summitracing to work for half the price.
