Has anyone noticed rates go up after purchasing a Kazashi AWD?

I traded in an 2004 Acura TSX for 2012 SLS AWD and rates went up nearly 30%

A regular member posted about this topic recently. He reasoned that it was likely due to the Kizashi being a rare car in which parts are hard to find. This then drives up repair costs hence the insurance rates are higher.

It's rather sad given the Kizashi is a very safe car with impressive crash test results. It's also not very fast and many models come with AWD, enhancing control in the winter.

I've had mine since 7500 miles on the odometer with full coverage. I'll be switching to liability only later this year after I move. At over 63,000 miles now, the Kizashi's resale value is no longer worth having full coverage for, IMO.

I have full coverage on mine. But being only 19 my insurance is already high, so having a red "sports car" really doesn't help that at all.

I have full coverage as well. But I'm 56 with clean driving record, married, multiple car discounts. etc.
$526.

I'm about £1,000 for the year, paying monthly.
This is fully comprehensive insurance with break down cover & 2 years no claims bonus as well.
I'm 25 and I find the price to be reasonable, my last car was much cheaper but then again that was a 1.4 FWD diesel, so no real grievance here to the price I was given.
