Suzuki Jimny with a roof-mounted tent

You can apparently rent these in South Africa for a minimalist camping experience.
I've seen this video a while back but was reminded of it given I went camping in the VW camper this 4th of July weekend.

The lady in the video gets the engine maker wrong. She calls it an "Isuzu" when it's a Suzuki. Can't blame her. With the names both having I, S, U, and Z, they can easily be confused.

There are lots of places that sell them in Australia - they're not cheap though!

eg. http://www.jamesbaroud.com.au/
http://www.campsalesau.com/automatic-ha ... -tent.html
http://hannibalsafari.com.au/index.php? ... shell-tent
http://www.raysoutdoors.com.au/online-s ... 8181#Cross

The "all canvas" style are probably a bit more versatile as they seem to expand to larger dimensions.

I can imagine these would be popular in Australia given the vast Outback and the excellent offroad adventures it would offer. It's actually one of my life goals to cross Australia in a 4x4 and camp while doing it.

Yeah, I'd love to have one as a 2nd car to the Kizashi.

I'm toying with the idea of getting a Grand Vitara sometime in the future and making that an affordable project offroader since doing so with a Jimny is a pipe-dream for Americans.
I actually really like the look of the 2006 to 2013 GVs though their interiors look dated.
