Some of you are looking into significant performance modifications so I thought I'd bring back the Bonneville Special from 2010.

Suzuki America commissioned Richard Holdener and Tom Habrzyk of Advanced Product Engineering to build a 200+ mph Kizashi. It has over 513whp and 515tq with forced induction (16 psi) and built internals and was driven by Road & Track editor Sam Mitani.

Aside from brief articles, I was never able to find many details about it. Perhaps you guys will be more persistent!

It achieved 203.720 mph, exceeding the previous record of 202.301 mph.

Some more details:
- custom cams
- ported head
- forged pistons, rod
- Turbonetics 70mm kit (tuned to 22psi but ran at 16)
- 3.5" exhaust
- Spearco air to water intercooler
- Snow water injection
- ACT clutch, pressure plate
- Lucas 5w20

Some videos here but it's not very detailed: http://www.roadandtrack.com/special-rep ... ng-kizashi

Anything is possible with time and money!

At some point (speed) aerodynamics overcome cash, and you can only push a brick so fast.....

The Kizashi is one slippery brick, ay?

While the kizashi is somewhat heavy it Is a very aerodynamic car for it's class. Brick maybe but an aerodynamic brick .

I don't think I'll be building LSR Kizashi any time soon, but I might try using my hood prop rod in that way.
