Personally I think it looks horrible, like someone stole your hubcaps and you're too lazy to do anything about it. Obviously just a matter of opinion, because a lot of people seem to rock that look.

plasti dip can be removed... I would maybe go that route.

Here's what I did with my OEM wheels. I don't like the flat look. I have two coats of primer, three coats of color and two coats of clear. All in all, cost about $50 to do all four wheels.
