Looks like a variant of a H&K MP5.
I am not a gun owner, but I do like guns. I have the rare ability (especially these days) to see guns independently of politics and appreciate their mechanics and craftsmanship. Seems like people either get real nervous around guns or love them too much and obsess over the power of being able to kill. With careful, responsible ownership, guns can be fun.
One of my best friends owns a bunch so we used to go shooting back when I lived in CA.

That is cool. I wonder if the wife would object to me modifying the lamp in the lounge? (It would look better if the K&N was the right size to fit on the turbo inlet housing though.)
