Forgot to mention that since the weather has warmed up, this issue-thing-phenom is not at all noticeable.

I'd check to see if the replacement filter is seated perfectly. I plan to check over the whole airbox assembly when I get a chance to see if there's air coming in from anywhere or a not perfect connection.Ronzuki wrote:I don't, all stock. I even use Suzuki air filters. The only change to the air intake system was cracking open the air box and swapping out the dirty filter. If what Ray Suzuki says is correct, then it's going to be changes in MAF, the cats or the O2 sensors for me. Whatever, nothing I'm going to worry about until when/if a CEL light is set.
It is really annoying that it does this. I've never had an issue like this on any other of my Japanese cars.

Interesting that it got better with the K&N. Have you checked all the couplings and such and double-checked the filter seating in the airbox?Bizzenn wrote:Same for me. All stock except for the K&N Filter. It actually got a little better with the K&N. No trouble codes though. My annoyances with the car generally all stem from the transmission.

So much for any consistency that could help pinpoint the issue.
