Do these 3 things and i promise u, u will feel a different in power and a way better sound, especially if you have a manual transmission. take off the air filter cover and clip it back but with this side on top of the thing it slides into, leave it open. Trust me, makes the intake sound so beautiful.

The small intake "tube" closes to the bumper, take out that big silencer and i capped it with a lactaid milk bottle cap. a regular pepsi cap doesnt fit.

WOW You do realize you are sucking unfiltered air into your engine? You might as well just take the whole air box off and straight pipe your intake with no filter. Im sure that would sound even more beautiful until a bunch of pine needles and acorns blow your engine up. Hope the dealer you take it back to doesnt read this forum!

Lol@11zukizashi, tru but I live in new York city, there's none of that flying around in the air over here. & yeah it makes the car sound really nice. Its just temporary until I buy the actual intake.

Not really cuz the air comes in from the scoop that's ontop of the radiator so it's still goes thru the filter before it goes into the motor. But ok..

Sorry for the late reply gents. First of all wtf. Dont take off the small ones. A) they barely make a difference and b) your actually going to rape your engine. No matter where you live. The big one is the only one you should remove.

I did it back when i started this topic with the advice of a mechanic. If your considering it you should know that the bolts that hold it on on some models seem to be tack welded. Mine were. I replaced the pipe from the intake to the airbox but if you plug the hole well you should be ok, if you leave the hole opened youll feel a pretty significant power drop because your sucking in all that hot hot air that the kozashi loves so much. Im redoing mine this week as i chucked the stock parts back in for a dealer service and its a two minute job so why risk it.

Ill post pics and a vid of the noise when i get the chance, small power increase, not worth doing if its ONLY for power but makes a pretty nice noise. Mine was absolutely howling at 3000rpm. There are also a few extra issues to consider, e.g. the intake tends to sag a little without the silencer, causes it to rest on the radiator hose.
