Fitting crosshatch / mesh style grille in lower models?

Anything related to the Kizashi can go here, but please look at the other headings first. Your topic may fit better under something else.

So, Northernstar, you're fitting the cross hatch to a lower spec bumper? Although from your other post, it sounds like you're fitting the complete different 'sports' bumper, with chrome accents, so that won't solve our dilemma if that's the case. Yes, perhaps while you're getting it all done, the guys might be able to check to see if they are interchangable for sure.
Our problem seems to be no one has been able to give us a definite answer on this...
Would love to hear that it all goes well for you. Keep us posted.

David, the techie guy seemed to think that, somehow, comparing the different models at the VIN level would show some part similarity. Part No. as such, isnt the prob but as I said I don't think it was going to prove anything.
Thanks for the pricing info, sounds like the US one is the way to go. Haven't checked the info link you added yet, will it take me to the site for ordering? Thanks for your info.

'Lower cross hatch, mesh grille to SLS/Prestige lower horizontal grille space...it should be so simple' :|

Lets hope Northernstar has success with his transplant...it'll make my day

ummmhhhh, I am not exactly sure what you mean by "cross hatch". Just to clarify things up, right now I have regular bumper, the one without the chrome accent with horizontal lower grill. I will be getting a sport bumper, the one with chrome accent, as well as the mesh lower grill.

So are you guys trying to fit a mesh lower grill onto a regular non-chrome-accent bumper?? Am I correct??

Ok, now I think we're all on the same page...Northernstar you're in a good position to at least be able to put the different grilles 'side by side' as it were and hopefully see if they would fit the same space.

David, I emailed Suzuki Australia a few days ago about the grille fit...they answered back today saying they don't encourage any modifications for warranty reasons! It was a friendly enough response but no answer. Obviously, they've got to cover their asses but would it really screw up warranty if you just changed a bit of plastic???

Northernstar, looking forward to your adventure...

You can all start doing the pre-service de-mod like I have been for the past few years:P Bullshit if they would void a warranty over replacing a foot wide piece of plastic... Only thing I could imagine them voiding would be paint but im pretty sure its all or nothing with Suzuki

Thanks for the info :)

I was 90% sure it was the case, but it's a big outlay if something doesn't fit!
