Really poor gas mileage

Alright...well I created the post and I am at 5 500 km right now. I used 45 liters for my last 2 tanks and was not able to reach 300 km each time...that is totally RIDICULOUS! So it's around 16.48 L/100km or 14.27 mpg. I know i'm only doing city (approximately 15 stops back and forth), but I don't know what to do anymore. I will try to go to the dealership in the next month. Am I the only one still getting that poor gas mileage after the break-in period?? I LOVE the car, but the gas mileage is killing me! My 2004 Audi A4 was not even that bad on gas and the AWD/Quattro system was always on. Please HELP lol

I usually put some regular in it (89 at Irving), but lately I tried the regular (89 at Shell without ethanol)...no noticable difference.

From your experience, do you save money? People seem to be getting better fuel efficiency by using premium gas. I am wondering if the fuel efficiency bonus offsets the additional cost of fuel for premium. I am leaving other performance gains aside just for this comparison.WESHOOT2 wrote:Still happily burning Mobil 93.......IMO&E worth it.

I cannot prove I save money; I 'think' I do.
I also 'think' the higher octane choice I make reduces the potential for premature catalytic conventer replacement, as well as extending spark plug and oil life. I 'feel' like the car pulls harder, epecially when speed passes 80 MPH.
The few pennies extra mean nothing.....to me.

It's all about the fun factor.....
