Regarding the breaks, they are amazing! I do a lot of stop and go highway driving in the morning and evening. I am at 70,000 km and still have plenty of life left on the pads and rotors. I don't expect to change them until 90-100k. I previously owned an Acura TL and I had to replace the breaks almost yearly.

I struggled mightily to ascertain the front rotor diameter (FWIW, 11.2") BEFORE I bought my Kizashi, but I had no luck.
I knew of the brake manufacturer's rep before I bought.
I bought anyways.

So, even though I know all that, I remain stunned by the power and longevity of my brakes.
Amazing, to me. (If one were to ride along with me  one would appreciate my continuing amazement).

Gas mileage has stabilized around 26.5 MPG for most tanks (currently testing Mobil regular, because it was 49 cent a gallon cheaper).
Based on my unpaved travels, I'm pretty certain the undercarriage looks like a WWI battlefield.
No pieces left behind.....

Mud still attached (I think there's paint underneath).

Very good days (although I admit being thoroughly intrigued by the up-coming 2014 WRX).

My Mobil regular tank returned only 25.4MPG, and the subsequent tank of Mobil premium returned 28.3; hmmm....yep, more evidence supporting my 'theory' of premium's enhancing mileage.
And yes, it 'feels' stronger --especially past 85MPH-- on the good stuff.

Mud so deep it abraded my front bumper; wonder what the bottom looks like
No, not MY bottom.

I am now obsessing about brake service. Rotors, pads? Factory? or slotted aftermarket? No answers in my head.

I washed the car; paint still attached. Cool.

I reread my post above, and the part about "--especially past 85MPH--" had me considering how many drivers exceed 100 MPH EVER, let alone the 5 to 20 times a week I seek escape velocity.

So, I ask those who read this: "How often do you exceed 100 MPH? Once or twice during your ownership period? Regularly? Never?"

Speed is based on opportunity for me. If I deem a driving, road, or traffic condition unsafe, I don't speed.
The fastest I've gone in my Kizashi is not even 90mph. I simply have not had a situation to even go faster and the DC area does not have great roads to really floor it.

The fastest I've ever driven in a car was in my old Impreza. Took it to the governor-limited 115mph. It was surprisingly stable at that speed.
I was talking to a friend of mine about how fast we've gone in our cars and I told him about my 115. He then told me about hitting 150mph in his former Ford Mustang GT.

There is a video of a Kizashi owner taking his car to the governor-limited 130mph on youtube. I think he is a member here.

Past 100?

Once in a GREAT while. The last time, was this beautiful left hand sweeper with a Mustang GT on my butt. I just couldn't pass up that turn. I noticed as I was locked into the turn that my gps said 115. He could have passed me in the turn but didn't till we hit the straight stretch. I think that I probably shouldn't be doing that speed at my age (66). I also don't think my reaction time is as good as it was 20, 30 years ago. I wonder if the guy in the Mustang would have hung in with me knowing my age?
And lastly, not all grampa's drive Buicks.

Many many years ago I had an 'opportunity' to have a little enjoyment in a Mitsubishi Diamante rental on what we referred to back then as the Puerto Rican Autobahn, south central side of the island. 140mph on a looong flat straight-away, what a nice ride that was. I'm sure the Kiz would do nicely at that speed, however, my enjoyment with the Kiz is the handling/grip in the twisties around here at unadvisable speeds. Very predictable. Paddle shifters lend nicely to make this chore very enjoyable.

I think I hit 102mph in my old Volvo downhill with a tail wind when I was driving to London almost 20 years ago. Around the same time, a friend took me for a spin in his chipped Ford Cosworth at 150mph on a two lane road. I wasn't scared until I saw the speedo.
