A Mazda 6 killed my Kizashi!

 :x  :x  :x

It was a cold snowy morning. My Kizashi AWD was being a real trooper. Traffic was slow on the freeway...except for the 2006 Mazda 6i zooming behind me way too fast and slammed right into the back of my Kizashi, destroying the tail completely, and I then rammed into a commercial truck wrecking the front the end.

Total repair estimate was $11,000. The insurance company totaled it. My baby is dead and gone, and I was really enjoying the Kizashi. It looked slick, had an awesome sound system, the CVT transmission was butter smooth, and the AWD system was amazing.

If you get the chance to buy one, do it. As for mine...this is what was left at the auto repair joint.

The kicker, I owned it exactly 30 days, and hadn't even made my first payment...

:(

Sorry to hear the bad news. On the positive side, Kizashi's always seem to protect the occupants well.

Are you going to try and track down another Kizashi?

Ask the insurance company how much to buy it back. You could part it out and get $10,000 easy. Of just keep it for parts, you'd have a huge leg up on the rest of us five years down the line.

Sorry to hear about the accident.
Looks like the wrecking yard already took the most popular items like headlights and tail lights.

Have you seen the prices of new Suzuki parts? Kizashi especially? There are zero aftermarket items available. That plus if any airbags went off, it's more than totaled since the book values of perfectly good low mileage cars are down around the knee-high to ant level.
