Valentine One is several generations behind in anti-falsing, and why I went with an Escort Passport Max. Between the DSP and GPS, it greatly eliminates false alarms, which, based on my previous experience with radar detectors, was absolutely critical to me. When it's beeping all the time, you just start to ignore it.
Exactly, but then like you said, you start to ignore it. The problem I have with the 'smart' detectors is that they can still miss certain scenarios like a leo hiding in an area with multiple door openers, etc. I've seen it and with the v1s multiple bogie counter, I saw him a mile away.
The ultimate idea which I've had in the back of my mind for a while now would be to use three sensors vs just two and make a true 'bogie' display like what aircraft fighter planes have. Then you could see everything in relation to where you are in real-time, and without actually transmitting any radar.
