Drop in RPM when brake applied
I'm sorry if I have posted this in the past, I'm not sure. When at a stop and the brake is applied, the Rpm's drop and the car shakes. This only happens when the ac is off though. Once the brake is released, it returns to a proper level. Also when coming to a stop either either with the ac on or off, the Rpm's drop briefly when I stop and the. At shudders for a second until the Rpm's come back up. I'm thinking cvt issue but sit sure.

Pretty normal behavior as far as I'm concerned. I think it is simply a fuel conservation measure.

I've mentioned this to Steve the service writer at Ray Suzuki. He has seen hundreds of Kizashis and this is typically caused by something changed or off in the intake/exhaust system. According to him, the cars are very finicky with even something as simple as a drop in K&N filter.
We have a similar problem that started after I removed and reassembled the airbox when trying to change the driver's side headlight bulb from the engine bay. I think what he says has some merit.
Do you have any changes to your intake/exhaust systems?

I don't, all stock. I even use Suzuki air filters. The only change to the air intake system was cracking open the air box and swapping out the dirty filter. If what Ray Suzuki says is correct, then it's going to be changes in MAF, the cats or the O2 sensors for me. Whatever, nothing I'm going to worry about until when/if a CEL light is set.
