Hi, have a few questions

Anything related to the Kizashi can go here, but please look at the other headings first. Your topic may fit better under something else.

I own a 2011 Kizashi SLS AWD sedan with Nav.
First, of all, when shifting in the manual mode of the CVT, should I follow the speed limits for the 6MT or does it matter?
Secondly, is it OK to use the CVT to downshift in order to slow the car down?
Finally, I cannot find any info on the Auto volume control (AVC) for the Rockford Fosgate system. I know that other owners have had issues with the volume jumping. I just want to know how to access it. Frankly, I haven't noticed any increased volume in higher speed situations.
Thank you in advance.

I think the jumping volume thing was only a problem with the 2010 model year. It was bad batch of amplifiers as far as I know. I had mine replaced under warranty and haven't had any issues since. You would definitely know if you were experiencing the same thing. very annoying. As far as the AVC....if you want to play around with it, its in the same menu as the Equalizer settings.

I was reading our owner's manual the other day and it mentions about the shift speeds... there is a table or chart in the manual...
As far as downshifting to slow down... I wouldnt say it's BAD, but figure this... what is cheaper to replace... brakes, or CVT... Id use more brakes and less CVT downshifts..

As far as SCV... I also have the navi model, and I don't think that feature exists... so we definitely wont have that problem that 10MY systems had...

I use my paddle shifters to slow down, depending on how Hot into a corner i'm getting into. I drive/shift my Kizashi, like I do my Motorcycle in manual mode. I broke in my Car pretty Hard, letting it REV))))) to let those Rings Seat in Properly.... 8-)

Plus your CVT is covered for 100 K, so you should be good till then ;)
